Upperbracket final at Rekrut.ru now!

Rekrut.ru Championship 2008 started this morning with sixteen teams, many hours later we are down to just six remaining.

The group stage at Rekrut.ru Championship 2008 was played earlier today, with all the favorites advancing. Especially the Ukrainian teams made a good impression, mTw got in deep trouble against Kerch.net, but luckily Sunde was able to secure a tie.

Moving on to the playoffs, mTw faced Virtus.pro in the first round, due to placing second in the group. A close match ended in a Danish victory. GamePlay had to drop into lowerbracket with a loss to k23, while Alternate joined them as they lost to DTS.chatrix. In the semis mTw defeated k23 very simple with 16:3 and everything pointed at a upperbrakcet final versus DTS.chatrix, who had been playing phenomenal all day. Amazing Gaming did however grab the spot in front of DTS.chatrix and will now face mTw in the upperbracket final.

In the lowerbrakcet there are just two matches remaining and neither of GamePlay and Alternate secured a spot.
